David

Copy of ‘The David’ at Piazzale Michelangelo. The original by Michelangelo is at Accademia di Belle Arti (“Academy of Fine Arts”) in Florence. Number of copies are placed around Florence but none as perfect and as imposing as the original. Unfortunately, photography was not allowed in the Accademia šŸ˜¦

Blenheim

S and I visited Blenheim Palace with a couple of friends in 2008. What a beautiful place it is…especially the gardens. Heaven on Earth! I will recommend everyone to visit the place…atleast once. Ā Don’t bother buying a ticket to get into the palace itself, nothing much to see. Stick to the outdoors. It’s absolutely beautiful!

Venice

Venice - 1

Hubby and I spent a week in Italy. Venice from the Grand canal with the view ofĀ  Rialto Bridge at a distance

Trevi Fountain

This photograph of the famous Trevi Fountain was taken way back in 2006. I could not get a complete shot of the fountain since the place was very crowded. Rome is one of our holiday spots…full of history and beautiful architecture.

Lake

This picture was taken in Interlaken, Switzerland whilst on a short cruise.

Dunnottar Castle, Scotland

This picture of Dunnator Castle was taken in 2005. Family and friends went on a trip of Scottish Highlands right after my graduation ceremony. I have been to Scotland atleast 3 timesĀ to dateĀ but every time I visit, I love it even more. There’s always something to see. For me, it is truly Heaven on Earth.

Picnic Spot :)

This photograph was taken just outsideĀ Munnar, Kerala. A break in between our sightseeing and this is where we had our lunch…just by the side of the lake. Lucky us!!!

A Gopuram

A Gopuram is a monumental tower, usually ornate, at the entrance of a temple, especially in Southern India. More here.

This picture was taken at Shri Venkateshwara Temple in Birmingham, UK. I am not a religious person but I visit the temple often since it gives me peace of mind…away from the noise of traffic…..and the smell of Agarbathis (Incense Sticks)Ā and the Slokas/Mantras lets me unwind. If I am not wrong,Ā this is one of the largest Hindu Temple’sĀ in UK.
