not ours though 😀

David

Copy of ‘The David’ at Piazzale Michelangelo. The original by Michelangelo is at Accademia di Belle Arti (“Academy of Fine Arts”) in Florence. Number of copies are placed around Florence but none as perfect and as imposing as the original. Unfortunately, photography was not allowed in the Accademia 😦

A ROSE

This photo was taken by the husband 😀 I loved it so much that I had to put it up. I did not enhance it in anyway…except sharpen it a little bit 😉

Venice – 2

View of the Grand Canal from Rialto Bridge 🙂

Blenheim

S and I visited Blenheim Palace with a couple of friends in 2008. What a beautiful place it is…especially the gardens. Heaven on Earth! I will recommend everyone to visit the place…atleast once.  Don’t bother buying a ticket to get into the palace itself, nothing much to see. Stick to the outdoors. It’s absolutely beautiful!

Venice

Venice - 1

Hubby and I spent a week in Italy. Venice from the Grand canal with the view of  Rialto Bridge at a distance

Not one of my best pictures….but I love the colours and the architecture…way in which the men and women have been sculpted. THis is the entrance to the Simhachalam temple.

Back…and hopefully with a bang 😉 With so many things happening…I have found it impossible to come back and update my blog. It should be pretty regular from now 🙂

Make Hay While the Sun Shines

Okay….before you jump into any conclusion..let me confess that this is not one of my best shots. One glance and you might think…why did she put this up. Let me tell you why. I think this photo is totally funny. We were visiting a temple when I saw this tractor fully loaded with hay. SO loaded…that you couldn’t see if there was any vehicle behind the it. Even a poor man riding a bicycle had to get off the road. The driver had stopped in the village and was wandering when a cow came along. The poor thing was soo hungry that it started chewing on some of the hay loaded onto the tractor. You can observe the cow to the right hand corner of the picture.

Spiral Staircase

This is not a great shot but I put it up for the architecture. It took this picture way back in 2006 when I first started clicking. THis is the Spiral Staircase of Vatican Museum. The next time we go there, I’ll definately take a much better shot 🙂

A Bike Ride

The best way to see India is on a two wheeler….a Bike (not a bicycle) 😛 S and I were on our way to Araku Valley from Vizag. The trip was totally awesome. We started early in the morning…when the streets were still foggy. Stopped at a local ‘restaurant’ and had some really oily puris 😉 and a glass of wonderful ‘chai’. The most amazing part was trekking to a waterfall and relaxing on Vizag’s highest railway track (if not AP’s) 😀

Trevi Fountain

This photograph of the famous Trevi Fountain was taken way back in 2006. I could not get a complete shot of the fountain since the place was very crowded. Rome is one of our holiday spots…full of history and beautiful architecture.

A Tiny Village

THis picture was also taken in Switzerland. We were returning to a village called Murren from Schilthorn in a cable car. The group of houses looked fantastic from our cable car and I immediately captured it in my camera. It was very cloudy that day so I had to touch it up using photoshop.
